KUALA TERENGGANU 18 April - Kerajaan negeri meningkatkan habuan wang tunai menjadi RM20,000 kepada kaki pancing yang berjaya menangkap ikan naga yang dipercayai hidup di Tasik Kenyir.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said berkata, tawaran itu merupakan perhatian serius kerajaan negeri kerana kehadiran ikan itu boleh menyebabkan spesies ikan lain di Tasik Kenyir pupus.
Katanya, tawaran itu dibuat berikutan ganjaran RM10,000 sejak tahun 2009 itu gagal menarik ramai pemancing untuk memburu ikan itu.
“Jika usaha menangkap dilakukan sekarang tidak berhasil, kita bercadang menaikkan ganjaran. Ini bukan usaha main-main. Yang penting ikan itu dapat ditangkap hidup-hidup,” katanya kepada pemberita di Wiswa Darul Iman, di sini hari ini. - UTUSAN
